Drop & Gimme 50 is an exhibition that explores the art of New Orleans bounce focusing on the unique dance that is associated with this genre of music. Through video's and music this exhibition gives an in depth look at this regionally specific form of artistic expression. Drop & Gimme 50 will be on view from August 27- October 13, 2011 in the East Gallery on the CSU Fullerton campus in Fullerton, CA. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 6-8pm.

Come and experience Drop & Gimme 50: The Art of New Orleans Bounce. Through music, images, and video this exhibition explores the movements and dance associated with the regionally specific genre of music known as bounce music.
Drop & Gimme 50 is a chance for a national audience to view and confront a piece of New Orleans' living culture. Only in the recent years has bounce music traveled beyond the city New Orleans and been embraced by others. This exhibition is an opportunity for the viewer to experience and learn about the roots and contemporary practices surrounding bounce music and dance. The space is designed to immerse the audience into the art of Bounce.
